Uni offer, xmas and school radio (again)!

Hello, just a quick recap the BBC Blast went really well last week the work i did is now on the bbc blast website

I have had 2 more offers for uni one conditional place at sunderland and one asking for an interview at Bournemouth and Poole College which is very xciting

Its very nearly the end of November and I am feeling very christmassy especially as the lights go on in town on friday and I have done ALL my xmas shopping already ! 1 month today!

AND finally… the idea has been brought up again of a school radio to be organised by me which seems more hopeful than last time we tried to do it!

Got a really good video going up on Youtube soon which I will post on here… Ill give you a hint X factor ………

Popped over to blast again after school to take part in a Breaking News workshop. An hr about radio interviews. Conducted a nice little interview which went out on blast out loud radio

BBC BLAST

Hello, I H ave just got back from a day out in colchester where BBC Blast were. (BBC blast offer young people free workshops in music, dance, drama film and design) I attended the Radio Script writing session.

The idea was to create the next episode in the blast story and as this was their last stop on the tour we had to create the final episode. The storyline was very random but that was because of the story we had to follow on from!

I went off to sort out all the SFX while the others finalized the script and then at the end we recorded it and it sounds really good

I have had such a great day and was very, very enjoyable. Even got a free t-shirt

If your in colchester I recommend going along they have other workshops running until saturday. OR across the UK they will be on tour again next year so go along

I know its been another week since I last updated the blog! Sorry but I have just been rather busy!

Since having this glorious machine I have been doing lots of film editing! I have made 2 films at the sudbury resource centre and 2 behind the scenes videos to go along with them which can be seen at www.vimeo.com/gcus

Also myself and Dan Lane are entering a competition to make a road saftey film, which we filmed on sunday night and was a good laugh and thats all edited and will be going on to their website within the next few days so i will tell you when/where to check it out once its online.

Went to a wedding at the weekend as well and was a really, really good night

Quick word on the X Factor (seeing as the whole of the UK is talking about it!) I think Jedward are funny and should stay in the competion not coz there good but for the entertainment!

Very busy over the next few weeks, Im going to go over to radio suffolk on friday (5am-6:30m) to see what its like on early breakfast!! Which I am very much looking forward to!!! www.bbc.co.uk/radiosuffolk . So if your up have a listen!

Next Tuesday am off to St Albans with Paul to help him out with some filming that he is doing…. Then on thursday off to colchester to a BBC BLAST workshop to write and produce a radio play (all for free) How cool…..
