Been back on the mobile disco scene in suffolk now that uni is over and that schools are ending I have been doing a fair few. I had one last week alongside The Exceptions (local band) which was great as I didnt have to do a full 4hr evening and also plugged into their sound system.

What was great about this one was I did get to play alot of random songs in my 45 min set. They included; Madcon- Beggin, Scouting For Girls, Amy Winehouse and Wham to name a few!

Also did a kids party this afternoon. The great thing about kids parties is they are in the afternoon leaving the evening free!

I genuinely don’t really know what day it is today all because my days and times are completely confused due to The world of pre records!
Due to everyone going home our CSR schedule has got rather empty so myself and Mel Lewis did a few pre records to fill it.
The weird thing is we had to log into our sustainer to see what music would get played out and then record each link. It’s not the best content we have ever done but the links are smooth and it means we have more presenters on air.
Not only this but we were recording at odd times of the day so doing Monday afternoon on Wednesday evening!

Another thing I have done is cover for the spec music show we love house with my own dance music called warm up to the weekend. It was fun recording it but I felt very commercial. A 2nd show took 20minutes to do so it does save time for me! A very strange thing is that I can hear my show being played out right now while I’m at home 90miles away from the studio!

This week has been bloody mental.

Monday- helping a breakfast show as one presenter was away so 6am start.

Tuesday- not as mental but still rather busy.

Wednesday- Visit to local primary school as part of one of the shows new feature, produce wednesday drivetime, go to our radio stations speech awards (plan not to drink) go to The Venue (Kent uni nightclub) get very drunk sleep in the CSR meeting room

Thursday- Breakfast show with Jezza, good banter with him as always. Came home sleep go out to CSR indiecate night

Friday- Get up breakfast show with Lucy. Do CSR work all day. DJ at the Christ Church Uni Summer Ball, get amazing VIP treatment. Me and Mel Lewis had a soundclash which, well, she won but it was a team effort! Then I had to DJ for Jodie Connor (of roll deep) on the main stage infront of 1,000+ people which was amazing! Got a free fry up at 3am and then a lollipop when we left.

Saturday- Woke up still drunk and then went to Artsfest (its a yearly Kent uni music festival) CSR was broadcasting all day, I had a 2 hr slot which was awesome, ended the night  by having a little rave in the studio!

Such a good week and this week will probably be just as busy as I have a load of SRA Award entries to sort and 3 shows to plan for!

So I have been really, really, really busy recently.

Since last friday I have been at an OB with CSR producing a cricket commentary, had a friend come and stay and we went out with CSR and we party. We party HARD! Then I spontaneously did a breakfast show on Monday.  Followed by a board meeting of CSR and I have lived in the studio ever since! Tomorrow morning I have my breakfast show  so its all go, go at the moment. Need sleep.

I have not updated this for a while, but I think thats what this blog has become, random posts every now and again!

After having a meeting yesterday about the CSR website being updated and soon to be completed it inspired me to update mine. Refresh the content on the site and also the site design. Im still playing around with it but I’m happy with it.

Also I had my first breakfast show on CSR this morning. The thing I was worried most about was content for some reason but as far as I am aware the features went down really well. Had some good feedback and have been feeling really good from it. I shall be listening to the logs over the weekend while I study in the library so I can tell for myself, and when I get time inbetween revision I will be making a podcast. The one thing that was the worst thing ever to say which makes me cringe so much is I said “Text me and tell me who you are and where you are ” which is just awful and not at all what I meant to say but its all a great learning curve. So hopefully with some critical and constructive feedback next weeks show will be even better.

I am absolutely done in.

After having not much sleep I have been up at Kent Uni all day producing all of CSR’s Varsity coverage. It has been a hectic, stressful manic yet enjoyable day. I love CSR and happily give up nearly all my spare time to them Everyone there is awesome.

I dont have the energy to write anymore. I wish I hadnt given up alcohol coz I want to get really drunk right now

So my blogs are very infrequent but I thought I would take down my thoughts of this years Brits so as not to tweet too much! I typed it up on my iPad and am too tired to go through and check all the spellings and punctuation so take it as you find it im afraid! Its a long post so good luck if you make it to the end!

6:29- listening to radio 1 backstage at the Brits while working some initial thoughts before tonight… Who will go up in the chart after the performances/ winners I think all of them but significant will be ri and adele. Also I hope radio1 doesn’t milk the live tracks on the radio for the rest of the week. Red carpet show on at 7 on itv2.

7:03- The backstage show has begun oh dear Peter Andre presenting not a fan if I’m honest but my nan loves him bless! 7:06 james blunt talking to Peter Andre horribly uncomfortable interview

7:12 I’m gonna turn this over it’s just an itv2 ego boost for Alan Carr and dave berry will be back for the main show

7:29- I’m watching last nights gadget show which has got a live audience. Do not like!

7:55- adverts are on got some sprite and sweets ready to go. God I’m so rocknroll I scare myself sometimes!

8:00- I prefer the home made fan master card sponsor videos

8:02 pretty solid performance from take that, bless little Mark! That’s quite a catchy tune too.

8:08- I think plan b worthy winner of best male and seemed lost for words.

8:12- technical problem LOL! Cue card shown and 3second black screen, ads must have finished early.

8:17 I’m not an adele fan but wow powerful and full of emotion.

8:21- not sure if beiber got James cordon. Fearne Cotten I actually like her I know a lot of people don’t but I do!

8:27- arcade fire should not be allowed to talk, stick to singing…..yum Rihanna is on

8:34- voice over fail, she stumbled over her words!

8:39- trying to hard to be like Russell brand and controversial cordon introduces ronson as lindsey lohans ex girlfriends brother. Can we get Ricky gervais to host next year?

8:48- YEY for Cee LoGreen he is such a dude. I wanna sit in a fancy lounge and drink whisky and smoke a cigar with him. He just said “you all have great taste in music!”

Oooooo british album of the year. Iv not heard any of them in full but PlanB is good and take that is pretty good, what iv heard of it. Slowly becoming more of a fan on mum ford and sons.

9:56 a bit too much echo on ceelo’s mic but he is good. Lovely dancers….. I’m sorry but who is that woman he is dueting with? Paloma? Saying that this is a good duet.

10:00 All over it’s okay for an entertainment show but not sure if it’s a credible awards programme….? Let the celeb after parties begin!! Although I’m off to bed London tomorrow.
