Michael Jackson Died
Posted by Ryan in Uncategorized on June 26th, 2009
Michael Jackson has died in hospital at the age of 50.
The singer was rushed to UCLA Medical Centre earlier tonight after suffering a heart attack.
According to local reports, Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived at his Holby Hills home, while attempts to resuscitate him were “completely unresponsive”.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles City Fire Department said: “The call came in because a person was not breathing.
“When the team arrived, they saw that CPR was already in progress by someone at the home. The person not breathing was transported to UCLA Medical Center and remains there.”
The star’s mother and sister LaToya are reportedly inside the hospital, where large crowds have gathered.
He was expected to begin a series of comeback shows at London’s O2 arena from July 13.
Jackson is survived by three children, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael Jackson II.

So I have just got back from Sunderland uni after there open day today. It took us about 5hrs to get there y’day and the same to get home again. The uni looks sooo nice, it was very modern, most of the accomadtion seemed very nice too.
Had a tour of the media centre and it is the biggest in the UK and about to get an upgrade this summer and it was amazing. 2 television studios and a gallery. Also 3 radio studios and they are about to launch their own student radio station.
I definatley am going to be putting sunderland as an option.
For those of you slightly nerdy people like me that use twitter and know what a hashtag (#) is throughout the trip I used the tagĀ #rtrdsu (which was short for road trip ryan dan sunderland uni)
So for those of you on twitter you can see all the posts with that hashtag!

Today me and Dan (Lane) filmed our media project ‘Head Lane’ a trailer for a new soap.
The idea for the soap is lots of quick short scenes from one road.
We had a few things happen which worried us but managed to sort them out (the mic and headphones wouldnt work at first but I fixed it
)
The cast all turned up and we excellent (thank you) and our boom operator was good too =]
The footage is all on the NEW iMacs!!!!!!<<<=D and ready to be edited on monday.
Below is a short video off us ‘in action’
BBC, London and UCAS Fair
Posted by Ryan in Uncategorized on June 18th, 2009
Yesterday our Media Studies group went to BBC television centre in London.
It was a really interesting tour and looked like a great place to work. It has a lot of history and it was cool to see people working in what is a 24hr broadcasting studio. We looked into the news centre and also in one of the 8 studios.
After that we had the rest of the day to shop in London including the westfield shopping centre just oppisite the studios.
I spent quite a bit of money in some shops including hollister, hmv and river island!
Today we went to a UCAS fair at UCS. I picked up loads of prospectus and pens, many of which I didnt need!
I bought a new hat today which Adam took a picture of HERE
I’m currently listening to BEPĀ (black eyed peas) new album E.N.D which is really good im liking this slightly new sound.
